Windows 2008r2 WEB edition, VPN how-to

Complete the following steps to set up a site-to-site VPN with the VPS as VPN gateway.

-> Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network Connections. -> File -> New Incoming Connection.

Now select the accounts that must have the right to establish a VPN tunnel to the server.
-> Next -> Next -> Allow access.
A new icon has now been added among the Network Connections (Incoming Connections).

Now we must assign another IP address or range of IP addresses to the VPN tunnels.

-> Properties 'Incoming Connections'-> Tab 'Networking'-> Properties 'Internet Protocol Version 4' (if applicable) -> 'Allow callers to access my local network'.
Now you have the choice of obtaining an IP address from the Windows DHCP server or an assigned range of IP addresses.

Once everything is set up, the server is ready to accept and create VPN tunnels.

Attention! We do not provide any support for this method. This method is recommended by Microsoft in its documentation and is intended for use by system managers who are knowledgeable about networks.
